Brow Lamination is designed to straighten the brow hairs, resulting in instantly full, lifted & fluffy brows.
The process essentially involves straightening brow hairs using our ALL NATURAL Lamination Kit, following our unique step by step treatment guide so that all hairs stand in the desired direction. Lamination can be paired with our Brow Tint for bold & enhanced results.
How does Lamination work?
Step 1: When the Brow Keratin Solution is applied, the chemical process breaks down the bonds within each hair, allowing them to morph & move into a new shape.
Step 2: When the Brow Fixing Solution is applied, the hair bond remodels into the new shape.
Step 3: The Brow Keratin is applied at the end of the treatment to restore moisture back into the brows & skin
NOTE: The new brow design and shape takes up to 48 hours for the bonds to lock into place & cure, which is why it is important to follow the correct aftercare for 48 hours post-treatment.
How long does Lamination last?
Lamination lasts between 6-8 weeks if you are following the correct aftercare. For maintenance, each morning your Laminated brows will require styling by brushing and setting in place.
What is the before & aftercare for Lamination?
What should and should not be done 24-48 hours post-treatment for the longevity of results:
Keep brows completely dry for 24 hours.
Do not apply make-up or undertake further eye treatments for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
Avoid swimming/sauna/working out for 24-48 hours. Any excess moisture after this time can cause a slight curl/frizz to the brow hair.
Do not allow prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat.
Do not apply Retin-A, AHA or exfoliate around the brow area for 72 hours either side of the treatment.
No self-tanning products should be used on the face for one week prior and 48 hours after treatment.
NOTE: If any stinging or swelling occurs, apply a cold compress to soothe and seek medical advice.
Can I do Lamination & Henna in the same service?
We do not recommend the Lamination & the Henna be used together as the hairs become incredibly porous & causes the tint to react incredibly fast! Because Henna requires time to develop, you will find the hairs will over process before the stain has a chance to develop and it won't last as long as it should. We advise if you would like a Lamination and Henna together, that you get them as 2 treatments across 2 days to give the Lamination the 24 hours it needs to develop before applying Henna over the top.
Is Lamination safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women?
Lamination is not safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women. This is due to the risk of chemicals sinking into the skin and potentially entering the bloodstream. If your pregnant or breastfeeding client would still like to receive Lamination treatments despite this information, please ask them to consult with their healthcare professional first.
